In a tragic incident early Sunday morning, February 4, 2025, a deadly shooting occurred in northeast St. Cloud, Minnesota, leaving one teenager dead and another critically injured. The St. Cloud Police Department is actively investigating the shooting, which took place at approximately 2:55 a.m. in the 200 block of 2nd Street Northeast.
Details of the Shooting Incident
Upon responding to reports of gunfire, officers discovered two male victims inside a building. One of the victims, a 19-year-old man from St. Joseph, was found critically injured in the hallway of a first-floor apartment. He was rushed to St. Cloud Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
Fatal Shooting and Crash Outside Anderson Nightclub: One Dead, Two Injured
The second victim, identified as 17-year-old Layson Davis of St. Cloud, was found unresponsive in the stairwell between the first and second floors. Despite efforts to save him, Davis was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigation and Possible Connections
Preliminary investigations suggest that the victims and suspects were known to each other, and authorities believe this was not a random act of violence. The St. Cloud Police Department, with assistance from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA), continues to investigate the shooting.
