A Tuscaloosa man tragically lost his life following a motorcycle crash in Northport on Friday night.
Crash Details and Victim Identification
Matthew Bryan Mills, 39, of Tuscaloosa, was identified as the victim of the fatal crash that occurred on March 15, 2025, at approximately 8:17 p.m. in the 3100 block of McFarland Boulevard.
Mills was operating a 2015 Yamaha Striker motorcycle, traveling westbound on McFarland Boulevard, when he collided with the rear of a 2003 Jeep Liberty. The Jeep was also traveling in the same direction.

Emergency Response and Fatal Outcome
Emergency responders, including the Northport Police, Northport Fire and Rescue, and NorthStar Ambulance, arrived at the scene shortly after the crash. Mills was transported to a local hospital but sadly succumbed to his injuries.
Investigation Underway
The Northport Police Department Traffic Reconstruction Unit is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. At this time, authorities have not filed any criminal charges.
