Fatal UTV Crash on West River Road Claims Young Life
At approximately 12:06 p.m., Louisiana State Police Troop E responded to a serious crash on West River Road, just south of Louisiana Highway 462. According to their preliminary investigation, a Can-Am Outlander UTV veered off the roadway and struck a parked Honda Foreman UTV. The impact caused both teenage occupants of the moving UTV to be ejected, along with the driver of the parked vehicle.
Kyndal Vidrine sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. The teen driver of the Can-Am and the operator of the parked vehicle suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were treated at the hospital.
Toxicology samples have been submitted, and the incident remains under investigation.
