Ford Hammontree Death & Obituary: It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ford Hammontree, age 21, of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Ford tragically passed away on January 31, 2025, in an accident in Chicago, Illinois. His sudden loss has left his family and friends heartbroken.

A Legacy of Love and Cherished Memories

Ford was a beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his parents, Kelly & Phillip Aubert and Scott & Stephanie Hammontree; his sisters, Sloan and Drew Hammontree; and his step-siblings, Jasmine Stout, Gaston, and Isiah Aubert. Ford’s grandparents, Jim & Joan Opperman, Deb & Ron Girard, Robert Hammontree, Kim & Dave Bos, and Dave & Shelley Nuismer, deeply cherished him, as did his nieces and nephew, Eden, Hazel, and Leon Stout.

Ford’s Spirit and Legacy

Funeral and Memorial Service Details

Ford’s family will receive visitors on Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 3-5 PM and 7-9 PM at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home – Van Strien Creston Chapel, 1833 Plainfield Ave NE. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 10, 2025, at 11 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Ford will be laid to rest at Fairplains Cemetery, where he will be remembered with love and honor.

In lieu of flowers, Ford’s family asks that donations be made in his honor to a charity of choice that reflects his generous and compassionate spirit.
