Born at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, and raised in Macomb Township, Michael was known from an early age for his intellect, kindness, and strong moral compass. He attended Lutheran North High School, where he played soccer and formed lasting friendships. Following his family’s move to Holland, Michigan, Michael graduated from the inaugural class of Black River High School.
Michael’s academic journey continued at Kalamazoo Valley Community College, followed by a bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University. He later earned his Juris Doctor from William & Mary Law School in Williamsburg, VA. While pursuing his degree, he worked two jobs and raised two children—an incredible display of resilience, commitment, and drive.

Michael began his career as a plaintiff’s attorney, where he quickly became known for his sharp legal mind and empathetic client approach. Within a decade, he co-founded Maury and Krol, PLLC, in Midlothian, Virginia, alongside Robert Maury, Esq.
